Blue Bay Cheese
In the back streets of Mornington, amongst the panel beaters, plumbing yards and other signs of modern industry there is a small cheese factory churning out delictable cheeses and yoghurts.
Andriy and Taras Kogut are identical twin cheesemakers from the rich blacksoil farmlands of the Ukraine.
Both studied agricultural engineering and dairy food technology for no fewer than 9 years in Kiev, and emigrated to Australia in 1999.
Lured by the scenery, the lifestyle, the supplies of organic cow‘s and goat‘s milk they settled in Mornington. Many people (including those dairy intolerant) are finding they can enjoy Blue Bay Cheeses, which are chemical free and preserved by natural lactic acid and cultures.
You can enjoy the amazing array of cheese including Blue Bay blue, brie, fetta (goats and cow) , hard (including Ramano, pepper and chilli), breakfast cheese - a delicate soft cheese with rip plump sultanas and honey and of course their yoghurts and kefir range.
